LTTE, V2
Go grab it! Then go donate to the cause.
And, somehow, if you missed the first one … that’s available, too.

For the collectors amongst you, a work in progress: my repository of Andy O concert photos, whether taken at solo shows or with Caedmon’s. Good times. For the record, below is my favorite photo of Andrew from Sunday night:

[Yes, yes, I also bootlegged the show, and I'll work on that tonight.]
AO fan Mark Simoneau pointed me to a recording he posted of his band’s cover of Swing Wide the Glimmering Gates at a concert they did last weekend. Not the best recording, but the song sounds good! Thanks for sharing, Mark!
[Anybody else got similar to share? No promises I'll post it, but I'll for sure give it a listen. Send me a link on twitter or email chris.hubbs (at) gmail.]
An Osenga concert anywhere within a 4-hour radius being fair game, a couple weeks ago I packed the family in the minivan and headed to Morris, IL to see AO and gang play an outdoor show. It was hosted by one of the local churches at the local park, and after eating some ridiculously tasty BBQ chicken, we sat back in our lawn chairs to watch the fun. Oh yes, this was the show that Andy described on his blog as
…a very, um, interesting solo band show. Let’s just say the median age was somewhere in the 60’s.
I’m not sure the age was quite that old, but it was close. As a result, Andy played most of his slow and more Christian-y sounding songs, including a few from Caedmons. He sort of tried to break out a little guitar solo on Hold The Light, but it was kinda tentative.
I neglected to record the set list, but I did hear a couple of new songs, including one called Freedom which I imagine will end up on a new AO studio project, and one called Canada, which I know will be making an appearance on Letters to the Editor, Vol. 2 whenever it releases.
I posted ten or so pics on Flickr, here are just a couple. This concert shall henceforth be known as “The Tyvek Show”.
Letters to the Editor, Volume 2 has been on Andy’s workbench for a while now. Two things to tell today:
1) It’ll be out soon.
2) A member of Andy’s immediate family has a guest vocal appearance. (Feel free to guess who. Here’s a hint: the guest vocalist is female.)
