Letters to the Editor, Volume 2 has been on Andy’s workbench for a while now. Two things to tell today:
1) It’ll be out soon.
2) A member of Andy’s immediate family has a guest vocal appearance. (Feel free to guess who. Here’s a hint: the guest vocalist is female.)

…and I have absolutely no idea what it is.
OK, so that’s not quite true. I’ve gotten a few hints that there will soon be some fantastic new online Andrew Osenga resources available. Don’t know when they’re coming.
One thing I can link you to, though:
OsengaMusic on Youtube.
Only a couple vids posted so far, but they’re good…
Thanks to Michael Terry (aka eustace482) for cluing me in!
I’ve just gotten the scoop from XXXX XXXXXX (a reliable source) on Andy’s final selection for the final 4 songs to go on the Letters to the Editor V1 / AO sampler CD. These have been highly debated over on Andy’s blog, and this is the outcome.
Andy has also expressed his appreciation for so many fans giving so much input in such a timely manner.
So, without further ado…
- wanted
- the ball game
- you leave no shadow
- Anna and the aliens
- the blessing curse
- swing wide the glimmering gates
- White Dove
- Kara
- High School Band
- Early in the Morning
My source tells me that the inclusion of High School Band over New Mexico was “highly debated”.
What do you think?

No, The Toe is not for sale.
However, Andy is selling a guitar – a Fender Tele “late 90’s Made-in-Mexico ‘72 Thinline Reissue”.

He’s auctioning it right here on andrewosenga.net – just follow the link on the sidebar to visit the auction page.
Go check it out for all the details. Makes me wish I played electric guitar.

A treat for your Monday night, courtesy of Geof Morris: one bootleg recording of Andy O playing at the Exit/In, his song Hold The Light, to be found tomorrow on the new Caedmon’s Call album Overdressed. Geof notes that this was only the second time he played it for the public. It’s worth a listen. Enjoy!
If you’re into that type of thing, Andy’s whole Exit/In set is available on IndieRiver.net.
