An Osenga concert anywhere within a 4-hour radius being fair game, a couple weeks ago I packed the family in the minivan and headed to Morris, IL to see AO and gang play an outdoor show. It was hosted by one of the local churches at the local park, and after eating some ridiculously tasty BBQ chicken, we sat back in our lawn chairs to watch the fun. Oh yes, this was the show that Andy described on his blog as
…a very, um, interesting solo band show. Let’s just say the median age was somewhere in the 60’s.
I’m not sure the age was quite that old, but it was close. As a result, Andy played most of his slow and more Christian-y sounding songs, including a few from Caedmons. He sort of tried to break out a little guitar solo on Hold The Light, but it was kinda tentative.
I neglected to record the set list, but I did hear a couple of new songs, including one called Freedom which I imagine will end up on a new AO studio project, and one called Canada, which I know will be making an appearance on Letters to the Editor, Vol. 2 whenever it releases.
I posted ten or so pics on Flickr, here are just a couple. This concert shall henceforth be known as “The Tyvek Show”.

Hey, all … Andy let us know about this one yesterday, so we wanted to be sure you knew:
Andrew will be playing as part of Music City Unsigned on Sunday night at 12th and Porter in Nashville. $5 cover.
Yes, I’m going to try to make it. No, I have no idea if I will … I’ve had to bail on a couple concerts lately, and I’ll be in West Tenn earlier in the weekend. Maybe if I crash on Andy’s couch …

Just thought we’d highlight that Andy will play 3rd and Lindsley on Monday July 7th. Sadly, I will be unable to make the drive up from North Alabama given work considerations.
I’m finally getting around to posting a sampling of the pictures I took a week ago at Andy’s concert with Jeremy Casella and Eric Peters in Naperville, IL.

Hey Andylanders, do you live in the Chicago area? What about within some reasonable driving radius? If so, you should head to Naperville on Friday night to hear Andy, Jeremy Casella, and Eric Peters play a concert at The Union.
The show is at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30) and it’s $8 at the door. Well worth it to hear this trio of songwriters. If you haven’t heard Jeremy or Eric before, well, shame on you. And then come to the show.
I’ll be driving over from Iowa to see the show. Leave a comment if you’re gonna attend – I’d love to meet you there!
