Writing for The Normals?!?

At the end of a conversation with Andy last night, he gave me some news (and the OK to share it) that will make a lot of his fans very happy: he is in the process of writing some songs for his old band, The Normals, to record.

Early indication is that we’re talking about a short EP, and no idea when it might be done and available. But for those of you who have been missing The Normals ever since they, um, “disbanded”, this is very good news.

  1. You, sir, just made my day.

Remember sitting in Mercy Lounge for the “The Morning” release show and listening to the band play old stuff from The Normals? That’d be nice to do on at least a semi-regular basis.

I had totally forgotten about that. They were jamming on Black Dress pretty hard that night. Good memories. Yeah, I can’t wait.

  3. Who are The Normals again?

:) This is pretty freaking crazy awesome.

  4. Yeah, “Black Dress” was in the set list that night, but I seem to remember “Romeo on the Radio” during sound check. Good times. :)
